Murray Bridge Regional Gallery will host an opening event this Sunday for two exhibitions timed to run through NAIDOC Week.

Connected is a collection of contemporary weaving by Ngarrindjeri artists, the traditional Aboriginal owners of the Murraylands region.

Ngarrindjeri Ruwe, or country, is a collection of paintings by Ngarrindjeri artist Cedric Varcoe.

The diverse weavings and vibrant paintings highlight the profound cultural connections Ngarrindjeri people have with their lands and waters, ancestors and stories, as well as each other.

The exhibitions will be presented in association with Better World Arts and Country Arts SA between now and July 14.

The opening event will be at 2pm this Sunday.
