Murray Bridge residents are evenly split on whether the artificial turf along Adelaide Road should be removed, according to a poll by The Standard.

Of 58 respondents who cast votes in the online poll, 29 said the turf looked awful and should be replaced with a native ground cover, as Councillor Andrew Baltensperger suggested last month.

The other 29 said there was nothing wrong with it and it should stay.

Council staff are gathering more information as councillors weigh up whether replacing the turf would be worth the cost at this stage.
