Students at St Joseph's School have pitched in to help needy Murray Bridge residents this winter.
During term two, they collected warm clothing, blankets and toys for charity organisation St Vincent de Paul.
Year 7s Angelina, Kyla and Jess were particularly concerned about the plight of people who might struggle to keep warm or have enough to eat.
With the approval of principal Adrian Brown, they baked cakes and sold them to their fellow students at recess and lunch time, raising $450.
They presented the money to Vinnies' Annie Mason at an end-of-term assembly on Friday.
Ms Mason said the money would be a great help to less fortunate community members, and would buy food, blankets and warm clothing.
School staff said they were proud of the students' thoughful initiative and their professionalism.
