Melbourne-based blues duo the New Savages will headline an Adelaide Guitar Festival show at Murray Bridge Town Hall this Friday night.
Four artists will present popular, blues, soul and roots music as part of the festival's Guitars in Bars program.
The New Savages - guitarist Milan Milutinovic and drummer Darren Seknow - describe themselves as an indie blues band inspired by the delta blues, gospel and country music of the Mississippi hill country.
They are currently touring the nation to promote their debut album, The Seventh Son.
Also on the bill is electric guitarist Chris Finnen, a veteran of Adelaide's blues scene and inductee into the SA Music Hall of Fame who has shared stages with the likes of Buddy Guy, Bo Didley and Mavis Staples.
Supporting them will be local acoustic guitarist Nathan Hansen and ukulele player Barney Rebel.
The town hall will be set up in a new configuration for the performance, with acts playing on a temporary stage set up at a 90-degree angle to the main stage, capacity limited to about 100 people in a relaxed lounge atmosphere, and drinks available inside the auditorium.
