Japanese visitors offer friendship

Cultural learning, understanding and excitement abounded in the homes of Friendship Force Club of Murray Bridge members as they hosted a group of ambassadors from Japan's Hiroshima FF Club.

Along with seven parents and two chaperones were six school students aged from 10 to 16 years who were keen to improve their English language skills.

The focus of their journey was to help them learn words associated with some of our sights and activities which included land forms, nature, animals, education, foods and sports and games.

The ambassadors entertained the Murray Bridge group with ukulele playing and a rendition of the song 'Sukiyaki", and on another night they cooked up a delicious storm in our kitchens.

Many friendships and future contacts were developed within the FF clubs and with students and the Japanese teacher at Unity College.
