Meet Clive and Cathy Richardson from Murrumbateman, New South Wales.
This couple from just outside Canberra recently came over with their two horses, Del the appaloosa and Tammy the chestnut pony, to ride the Kidman Trail from Willunga to Kapunda.
Clive rides one and leads one on the journey with no bridles, while Cathy drives as his backup.
He is in logistics with Mintrac, and travels Australia delivering training programs for the meat industry; while she is a high school teacher.
He is also an adventurer who said he had been to Alaska, worked in refugee camps in the Congo, and assisted aid agencies during the Rwanda uprising and after the Thailand tsunami.
His description of this leg of the Kidman Trail, and the Rockleigh stage in particular, was that there was "nothing else like this in Australia".
After meeting locals at a service at Rockleigh Uniting Church on September 8, Barb Pym took the couple out for a tour of her beautiful part of the world and other locals invited them for dinner.
