Car enthusiasts are invited to be part of a show 'n' shine on Sunday, September 22 in honour of Strathalbyn Auto Collectors Club past president Lyssa Liebelt.

The club is hosting the Lyssa Liebelt Show 'n' Shine Memorial Trophy event in memory of its namesake, who passed away in a car crash on Long Valley Road on January 31, aged 51 years.

More than 60 classic cars belonging to the club members have already been entered for the event, to be held at Strathalbyn Oval.

There are eight classes: Holdens, Fords, Chryslers, British cars, European cars, American cars, open, and bikes.

Each class will be judged and a winner from each will be named, and there will be an overall winner.

Entry for members of the public opens at 10am and is free.

Attendees can bring their own picnic and food. The football club bar will be open but there will be no food available.
