Firefighters save Murray Bridge home

A house fire in Murray Bridge on Thursday, October 17, has caused thousands of dollars in damage.

Two Metropolitan Fire Service and two Country Fire Service appliances which attended a blaze on Standen Street, Murray Bridge at about 8.30pm arrived to find a caravan, that was located under a carport, engulfed in flames.

With quick action firefighters took about 10 minutes to extinguish the fire, saving the home from severe damage.

Investigators will examine the scene to find the cause of the fire.
