A group of industrious Murraylands quilters have been busy fundraising while meeting regularly and creating works of art.
Bridge Patches and Quilters held a quilt exhibition in July where the group raised a significant amount of money to donate to local causes.
On October 16, club president Val Towill and secretary Coral Schutz presented $1050 to Michelle Toogood, of Ac.care, which will help support families in need in the Lower Murray.
The remaining proceeds from the exhibition will be donated to Breast Cancer Network Australia which supports patients who are undergoing cancer treatment.
Bridge Patches and Quilters has also donated many quilts and knitted teddy bears to Ac.care which distributes them to local foster children and families.
