Kawasaki Ninja H2R motorbike stolen in Murray Bridge

A motorbike believed to be one of only eight in Australia has been stolen in Murray Bridge.

Police are searching for the black and green Kawasaki Ninja H2R, which was taken from a shed on Noel Street sometime this month.

The bike does not have numberplates as it was not road registered.

The Ninja H2R is billed as one of the fastest and most powerful motorbikes in regular production anywhere in the world, with a supercharged 296-horsepower engine, and as such can be legally ridden only on a racetrack.

Current models retail for more than $65,000.

Anyone with information about the theft should contact Crime Stoppers, and can remain anonymous.
