AC Care opens office on Murray Bridge's main street

Non-profit organisation AC Care has become the latest tenant of one of Murray Bridge's most prominent buildings, at 29 Bridge Street.

The old Toyworld and newsagency - formerly Hallandal's, and Eudunda Farmers before that - now houses more than 40 staff working in areas such as foster care, family support and homelessness services.

The Anglican Bishop of the Murray, Keith Dalby, blessed the site on its opening day, November 2, and Ngarrindjeri elder Major Sumner visited to conduct a smoking ceremony on Wednesday.

Signs and imagery, including designs by Nellie Rankine and Jordan Lovegrove, have been used to highlight the Murraylands' Aboriginal history throughout the building.
