Callington residents are being asked to help plan their town's future at an open day this Saturday.
The Murray Bridge and Mount Barker councils have prepared a draft township plan with input from community groups, and are seeking more public feedback.
Murray Bridge Mayor Brenton Lewis said the plan would ensure Callington's development happened in an orderly way over the next 10 to 20 years.
"Callington is a great rural community with a lot of potential that we want to see managed in a way that is most beneficial to the people who live (there)," he said.
"I encourage everyone with an interest in the future of Callington to have a read of the plan and let us know what you think."
A sausage sizzle will accompany the open day at Callington Memorial Hall from 10am to 1pm.
Alternatively, residents can visit the Mount Barker council's website, either council's office or Murray Bridge Library before February 8.
