'Meticulous' Don Dunstan's Bridge days recalled
Murray Bridge's Ray Wallage remembers Don Dunstan as "always well spoken, a good scholar and very smart", even as a nine-year-old boy.
The former Premier, who as a child was educated in Murray Bridge, died on Saturday, aged 72.
Attending Murray Bridge Primary School in 1935, Mr Wallage sat next to the premier-to-be while in Grade 3.
Telstra may appeal phone tower decision
Telstra has expressed disappointment over council's decision to reject its application to install mobile phone towers on Murray Bridge's east side.
Manager of corporate affairs Rhonda Barker said "there is no scientific indication at all, there are no health issues about these towers".
