A Murray Bridge man has been charged with aggravated assault causing harm after allegedly stabbing another man early Saturday morning, March 21.
Police and paramedics were called to a house on Weigall Avenue in Murray Bridge just after 5.30am, with reports a man being stabbed.
The assault left the 32-year-old victim with a single stab wound to the back, and he was taken to Murray Bridge Soldiers Memorial Hospital to have it treated.
The injury was not considered life-threatening.
A police spokeswoman said the incident occurred at a friend of the victim's house.
An investigation by Murray Bridge police led detectives and patrols to a Murray Bridge house, where a 33-year-old man was arrested.
The man was charged with aggravated assault causing harm.
He was refused police bail and will face court on Monday, March 23.
