Murray Bridge couple Keith and Joyce Lord have reached an incredible milestone of 70 years of marriage.
Although Joyce, nee Griffiths, knew of Keith as he rode horses for her father, they didn't meet until they were at Sandalwood dance.
They got married at the Halidon Hall on March 18, 1950, and had a short honeymoon in Adelaide before moving into Keith's farm at Karoonda. Thirteen years later, they moved to Meningie, staying for 17 years before crossing the border to Mortlake in Victoria, then retiring back in Murray Bridge.
Keith and Joyce have five children, nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Joyce said their 70 years together "doesn't feel that long", and said their secret to staying together for so long was "give and take".
The couple enjoyed lunch at the Swanport Hotel with a large group of loved ones, included their bridesmaid Doreen Wright. The celebration doubled as a birthday party for Joyce.
