School holiday fun in the Murraylands

Keeping the family entertained during the summer holidays can be a task, especially with the current pandemic making it hard for people to make solid plans.

The Standard has put together a list of events and activities, some of which are free, that could help.

At the time of publication the events will go ahead but the situation may change if there are state restrictions put in place.

DECEMBER

Mannum Waterfalls - this popular destination may not have much water action currently but there are wonderful scenic views and geological structure.

National Parks - Ferries McDonald, Monarto Kinchina and Ngarkat conservation parks are home to an abundance of wildlife and flora.

Swanport Wetlands - The reserve covers 19.4 hectares with walkways and bird watching hides for people to be able to take in the sights and sounds of nature.

Meningie walk/cycle trails - The lakes are home to some spectacular sights, take a walk, enjoy a picnic by the water. So much to see and do.

Lavender Federation Trail - Trail snakes its way through the Murraylands and beyond, with more than 325kms to explore.
