In leaps and bounds, the Mannum Fun Run and Walk will celebrate 10 years as it continues to be a popular event for locals and visitors.
This year's event, which will take place on Sunday, February 28 at Mary Ann Reserve, caters for people of all ages with runs and walks for children, beginners and regular runners.
The first fun run was held on December 1, 2011, and was led by then Healthy Murraylands celebrity ambassador Andrew 'Cosi' Costello.
This year the event caters for all ages and abilities, offering a 3km walk, run or gopher ride, 5km walk or run, and the more challenging 10km run.
As the years have gone on the fun run has grown to incorporate various runs and walks as well as activities and competitions.
Mid Murray Council Mayor Dave Burgess said the event was a fun family day.
"The Mannum Fun Run and Walk has earned a strong following over the past decade as visitors and locals both enjoy the fun, relaxed atmosphere," Mr Burgess said.
"Whether you're young or old, a novice or an athlete, there's an event on the day that will suit you and it's always inspiring to see people of all backgrounds coming together to participate, be active and share each other's company.
'With the backdrop of Mary Ann Reserve and the riverbank, it's also a spectacular place for a morning run or a leisurely walk."
