The Murray Mallee LSA recorded several traffic and drug offences over the weekend.

Saturday, May 1 at about 10pm, Waikerie Police stopped a white Toyota Hilux on Ricuitto Road at Waikerie to breath test a driver.

A 21-year old driver allegedly returned a positive reading of 0.099.

A six month loss of licence was issued and their vehicle impounded for 28 days.

Around 2.20am on Sunday, May 2, Blanchetown Police stopped a blue Mercedes van on Murraylands Road.

The driver, a 27-year-old man from Greenwith, allegedly returned a positive result of 0.181.

He was reported for drink driving and issued a 12 month loss of licence.

Murray Bridge Police went to Rocky Gully Road at 6.50am on Sunday, May 2 in Murray Bridge.

A Red Mazda sedan had left the road and crashed. The driver, a 47-year-old Murray Bridge man, was located asleep in the car and a breath test, allegedly returning a positive result of 0.150.

He was reported and issued with a 12 month immediate loss of licence.

At about 3pm on Sunday, May 2, Mannum Police stopped a white Falcon station wagon on Walker Avenue at Mannum.

Police had cause to search the car and two occupants, allegedly locating 450 grams of dried cannabis.

A 24-year-old man from Mannum was reported for trafficking cannabis and will appear in Murray Bridge Magistrates Court at a later date.

About 6pm on Sunday, May 2, Mannum Police attended and searched a property at Blackhill Road, Cambrai.

Police allegedly located four cannabis plants and 2.5kgs of dried cannabis.

A 44-year-old woman from Cambrai was arrested for trafficking in a controlled drug and cultivating a controlled drug.

She was bailed to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court on June 2, 2021.
