Murray Bridge grocer staff have been threatened at knifepoint and robbed

It was a brazen daylight robbery that left employees shaken.

Murray Bridge grocer staff in Standen Street were threatened at knifepoint and robbed last Thursday.

Police arrested two men just after 2pm.

Officers arrived quickly on the scene

Patrol officers were called to the location in Murray Bridge after reports of two men threatening staff with a knife before fleeing with an amount of cash.

Officers arrived quickly on the scene and arrested one man following a foot chase down Ritter Street. The second suspect was arrested after 3:30pm, as police set up cordons at an address in Burdekin Avenue.

The two 19-year-olds are both from Murray Bridge and were charged with aggravated robbery.

They were refused bail.

They fronted the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court on Friday.
