The Tourist, a six-part series shot across regional South Australia, including Murray Bridge, is set to hit televisions screens on January 2.

Starring Irish actor Jamie Dornan, the thriller was shot in and around SA towns such as Port Augusta, Quorn, and Peterborough as well as in Adelaide.

In June this year, production of the series moved to Murray Bridge for a couple of days with the Adelaide Road Motor Lodge used for filming.

The series, which also stars actors such as Damon Herriman, Alex Dimitriades, Danielle Macdonald and Shalom Brune-Franklin, is a Stan. original production which will air in the UK and US as well.

He wakes up in hospital with no recollection of who he is and how he got there but he is determined to find some answers.

In his search he comes across some complex and quirky people who may be able to help him unlock the secret of his identity and discover why he is in the crosshairs of some shady people.

- Details: The Tourist will begin airing on Stan. starting January 2, 2022.
