Karoonda based Rob Muster took out the Murdoch Insure invest Stableford competition at the Bridge last Saturday.
Making the 45 minute trip westwards along the Karoonda highway twice weekly he was sweetly rewarded this time when scoring 39 points to be top dog.
A smaller than normal field due to, in part, the club's annual Ham & Turkey day being held on the Sunday meant the grades went out the window and the comp reverted to an open event.
Scores were very good as players enjoyed the rapidly improvng greens (from their recent coring).
Craig Mathew was the runner up with 38 points and Gavin Thoman was third also with 38.
Down the list we go with Brett Altschwager and Kayne Rigby next best again with 38 points then larger than life himself Graham Edwards with 37.
A host of players played to their handicaps in scoring 36 points with those being Jedd Rothe, Graeme Southern, "Aussie Bob" McCormick, Alois Kniebeiss, Mark Sappenberghs, who signed his card this week, and Paul Harding. Greg Lannan, President Bolton and Dave Graham also got a mention for their 35 point efforts.
Craig Mathew won the pro comp for best back nine with a stunning 23 points.
How unlucky was Gavin Thoman who did the same but lost on countback? Matt Kowald collected the Yabby on the 11th and Brett Altschwager made light work of the par five 12th in eagling it to pick up $33 worth of balls from the nest.
Time for a Stroke round this Saturday.
